YMCA Boosts Malaria Fight in Lagos Community

The Central Club of Lagos, in collaboration with the Young Men Christian Association (YMCA), Lagos, organized a community medical outreach in Ikoyi to mark World Malaria Day 2026. The event took place at the YMCA premises on Awolowo Road and drew residents from Obalende, Falomo, and Ikoyi, who received free malaria testing and anti-malaria medications.

Free Health Services and Education

Medical staff and volunteers attended to participants while delivering health education on malaria prevention and the importance of early treatment. The initiative aims to reduce the burden of malaria through grassroots action.

Call for Collective Action

Adedolapo Ayoola, President of the Central Club, YMCA of Lagos, emphasized that early diagnosis and treatment access are vital for saving lives. He urged residents to maintain clean surroundings and seek prompt medical care when symptoms appear.
