Air Peace has confirmed that a minor aircraft fault discovered by its technical team after routine post-boarding checks was responsible for the disruption of its scheduled Lagos-London flight on Friday. The airline provided an update on Saturday, detailing the steps taken to address the situation and ensure passenger comfort.

In a statement released on Saturday, Air Peace’s Spokesman, Efe Osifo-Whiskey, explained that all affected passengers were promptly informed about the technical issue. The airline provided support, including hotel accommodation and other necessary assistance, to ensure their comfort during the unexpected delay. Osifo-Whiskey emphasized that the decision to withdraw the aircraft from service was made in line with the airline’s uncompromising commitment to safety and global aviation standards.
