SALI Tools Expands to Nigeria with New Lagos Operations Hub

Global tools and accessories manufacturer SALI Tools has pledged to enhance delivery timelines and customer support across the region as it officially enters the Nigerian market. The company announced the establishment of a local office and warehouse in Lagos, marking a strategic move to strengthen its presence in West Africa.

Local Team and Initial Operations

The expansion, which began in early 2026, includes the formation of a local operational team comprising both Chinese and Nigerian staff. The team has already started engaging with distributors and major hardware markets in Lagos to better understand the needs of local users and industry operators. The Lagos warehouse will serve as a distribution and support center for Nigeria and neighboring markets.

Product Rollout and Certifications

SALI introduced its metal cutting discs and grinding wheel products into Nigeria as part of its initial product rollout. These products have received international certifications, including MPA, EN12413, and other European safety standards commonly required in industrial tool manufacturing. The company operates large-scale abrasive production facilities with an annual output estimated at 150 million cutting and grinding discs, and its products are distributed across multiple international markets.

Commitment to Local Partnerships

Chairman of SALI Tools, Peter Hu, stated that the decision reflects the company's long-term interest in the African market. “Nigeria is one of the most important industrial and commercial markets in Africa. We believe there is strong potential for long-term growth, especially within construction, manufacturing, metal processing, and infrastructure development,” he said. Hu emphasized that the approach in Nigeria focuses on building local partnerships and improving service delivery rather than operating solely as an export business. “We are not approaching the market only from a sales perspective. Our goal is to build a localized support structure that allows distributors and customers to access products more efficiently while also receiving technical and operational support where necessary,” he added.

Market Demand and Future Plans

Nigeria's construction and manufacturing sectors continue to drive demand for industrial tools and hardware products, particularly in infrastructure projects, fabrication, automotive repair, and small-scale manufacturing. SALI is currently exploring partnerships with local agents, wholesalers, and hardware retailers as part of its expansion plans. According to Hu, the company intends to deepen local engagement over time through distribution partnerships and improved operational presence. “We see localisation as an important part of sustainable growth. Building relationships with local businesses and understanding the realities of the market are necessary for long-term success,” he concluded.
