Supacash Unveils Mint Digital Rewards for Brand Promotions in Nigeria
Supacash Launches Mint Digital Rewards for Brands in Nigeria

Nigerian fintech company Supacash has announced plans to expand its Mint feature beyond peer-to-peer transactions, introducing a new digital rewards infrastructure designed to help businesses run promotional campaigns, customer engagement programs, and cash reward initiatives more efficiently. The company stated that this development comes as brands increasingly seek innovative ways to connect with consumers in a rapidly evolving digital marketplace.

Traditional Promotional Challenges

Traditionally, promotional campaigns in Nigeria have relied on mechanisms such as giveaways, airtime rewards, under-the-cap activations, and event-based prize schemes. However, industry observers note that many of these systems remain burdened by complex redemption processes that often create challenges for both businesses and consumers.

How Mint Works

Supacash said its Mint feature offers a simpler alternative by enabling businesses to generate unique reward codes funded with cash incentives, which recipients can redeem instantly. Under the model, brands can integrate Mint rewards into product packaging, beverage bottle caps, SMS campaigns, loyalty programs, and event materials, creating interactive experiences that encourage customer participation and repeat purchases. For instance, beverage manufacturers can place reward codes beneath bottle caps, while consumer goods companies can embed cash rewards inside product packages. Event organizers can also distribute Mint rewards through access passes and attendee materials.

The platform further allows businesses to configure reward amounts ranging from as little as N500 to as much as N50,000, introducing an element of excitement and unpredictability into promotional campaigns. According to the company, recipients are not required to download the Supacash application before redeeming rewards. Instead, businesses can facilitate redemption directly through their websites or via Supacash’s dedicated redemption platform, after which funds are transferred to beneficiaries’ bank accounts upon verification.

Company Vision

Speaking on the initiative, Co-founder of Supacash, Overcomer Idemudia, said the company views Mint as a broader digital engagement tool rather than merely a money transfer feature. “We realized Mint could become a powerful infrastructure for rewards, promotions and customer engagement. Businesses are constantly looking for better ways to distribute value digitally, and Mint gives them a flexible system to do that at scale,” Idemudia stated. He added that the platform is designed to help businesses bridge the gap between payments, rewards and customer acquisition while making promotional campaigns easier and more effective to execute.

As competition for consumer attention intensifies across Nigeria’s digital economy, industry analysts believe technology-driven reward systems such as Mint could provide brands with new opportunities to strengthen customer loyalty and drive engagement. Supacash disclosed that businesses interested in deploying Mint-powered campaigns can now collaborate with the company to develop customized reward experiences for customers, communities, and corporate events.
