The high consumption rate is driven by cultural acceptance and the prevalence of both commercial and traditional alcoholic beverages.

Burkina Faso and Tanzania Follow Closely

Burkina Faso ranks second with 11.27 litres per person, showing similar consumption levels to Uganda. Traditional drinks and social gatherings contribute to its high ranking. Tanzania takes the third spot at 10.95 litres, where alcohol is often consumed during celebrations and community events, fueling a steady rise in demand.
