The ARS Entrepreneurship Empowerment Foundation (ARS Foundation) has announced plans to host its 2026 Empowerment Event, featuring the graduation of over 100 young Nigerians from a 12-week vocational skills training programme and the presentation of business grants to selected beneficiaries.
Event Details
The event is scheduled to take place on June 6, 2026, at the Multipurpose Hall, New Estate Baptist Church, 57 Adisa Bashua Street, Off Adelabu Street, Surulere, Lagos, beginning at 10:00 a.m.
The foundation was established in memory of Ajibade Rereloluwa Sharon, a young entrepreneur who passed away in 2023 at the age of 18.
Training Programme
According to the Foundation, the 12-week training programme, which commenced in February 2026, equipped participants with practical skills in catering, tailoring, resin crafts, leather works, makeup artistry, tie-and-dye production and other vocational trades.
Graduation Ceremony Highlights
The graduation ceremony will showcase projects developed by participants during the programme and feature presentations from beneficiaries, alongside remarks from business leaders and community stakeholders.
The organisers said the event was designed to highlight the role of entrepreneurship in addressing youth unemployment and fostering economic self-reliance.
Foundation's Commitment
The Foundation noted that the programme reflects its commitment to continuing Sharon’s passion for entrepreneurship and creating opportunities for young Nigerians to develop sustainable livelihoods.
