A corn seller who started her business with just N1,500 has revealed how much she earns daily, sharing that the coronavirus pandemic led her into the trade. In an exclusive interview with a content creator, she discussed her journey and how she manages her responsibilities.

In a video posted on TikTok by @theonlyemiliaa, the corn seller explained that she has been in the business for more than four years. Speaking about how she started, she said: 'I have been here for more than 4 years. Coronavirus led me to this. Before the coronavirus, one of my friends introduced me to this, so I had to be doing it. From there, I started seeing small, small change.'

Profit and Challenges of the Corn Business

She noted that although the business is profitable, it comes with many challenges. 'There's something in it, just the suffering is much,' she stated. Regarding earnings, she mentioned that profit depends on the season, and she can make between N10,000 and N15,000 from a bag of corn. On a good day, she sells three to four bags, earning a significant amount.

The corn seller emphasized that her business provides enough money to feed her children and handle other responsibilities. 'I can boast I have my own money. I can take care of my children and some of my responsibilities,' she said. She also advised that starting the business today requires a larger budget than the N1,500 she began with years ago.
