The Jerry Eze Foundation, the charitable arm of Pastor Jerry Eze, has awarded grants totaling N1 billion to 240 small and micro businesses in Nigeria. The Grant Award Ceremony took place at the Transcorp Hotel in Abuja, where each entrepreneur received $3,000 to start, scale, or transform their business.
Empowering Entrepreneurs Through Faith and Action
The event marked a significant milestone in the Foundation’s mission to translate faith into tangible economic impact. It brought together business leaders, clergy, entertainers, and public figures to celebrate the empowerment of a new generation of Nigerian entrepreneurs.
Rigorous Selection Process by KPMG
To ensure transparency and fairness, the global consulting firm KPMG was engaged to independently manage the beneficiary selection process. Over 16,000 applicants registered on the grant portal, with 9,668 completing the process and meeting the strict selection criteria. Ultimately, 240 entrepreneurs from across Nigeria were selected.
Focus on Strategic Sectors
Priority was given to enterprises operating in three strategic sectors: agriculture and agribusiness, manufacturing, and technology and digital services. This focus aims to drive economic growth and innovation in key areas of the Nigerian economy.
