Oniru of Iru Kingdom Commissions Cultural Site and Launches Ejiwa Elegba Iru Festival
The Iru Kingdom recently celebrated a historic and culturally significant milestone with the official commissioning of the newly rebuilt Agbo Elegba Ejiwa Iru. The commissioning ceremony was led by the Oniru of Iru Kingdom, Oba Abdulwasiu Omogbolahan Lawal (Abisogun II), who was joined by an array of dignitaries, traditional rulers, government officials, community leaders, and sons and daughters of Iruland. Oba Lawal emphasized that the event symbolized not only the unveiling of a revitalised cultural heritage site but also the reaffirmation of the enduring traditions and spiritual identity of the Iru people, particularly the descendants of Olofin Atekoye.
