Pastor Lazarus Muoka, the General Overseer of The Lord's Chosen Charismatic Revival Ministries, delivered a powerful message of faith and dependence on God during the church's 23rd-anniversary celebrations.
A Celebration of Divine Faithfulness
The landmark event was held at the church's headquarters in Ijesha, Lagos, on December 21, 2025. Addressing a congregation reflecting on more than two decades of ministry, Pastor Muoka centered his sermon on the theme "Bless The Lord, O My Soul." He used the occasion to recount the unwavering goodness and deliverance provided by God throughout the church's history.
He vividly described the early challenges faced by the ministry, revealing that detractors had even prophesied its collapse within a mere three months. "From the beginning of this ministry, we experienced many challenges," Muoka stated. "Many fasted and even prophesied that in three months we shall close up." He emphasized that God consistently provided victory, guiding the church through every opposition.
The Proven and Tested God of Chosen
In a spirited declaration, the cleric affirmed the dependability of God. "God has always confirmed the words of the Lord's Chosen, and I'm glad to announce to you that God of Chosen is dependable," he proclaimed. He highlighted that for 23 years, God has been the church's helper without comparison, describing Him as "tested and proven."
Pastor Muoka drew a parallel between the church's journey and the biblical story of Joseph, positioning the congregation as the "Joseph of this generation" due to its triumph over adversity. He assured members that God, who has never disappointed the church, would continue to uphold those who depend on Him.
A Call to Fearless Faith
The General Overseer concluded with a direct charge to the members. He urged them to live without fear, anchoring their confidence in the reality of God's word within The Lord's Chosen. "In the Lord's Chosen, every word of God is real," he asserted, reinforcing the core message of the anniversary: total reliance on the God of Chosen in every life situation.
The celebration served not only as a thanksgiving for past victories but also as a reaffirmation of faith for the future, with Pastor Lazarus Muoka steering the congregation towards continued dependence on divine authority.
