Cleric Advocates for National Moral Reawakening Through Foundational Values

The President of Golden Heart Foundation and Senior Pastor of Dominion City, Lagos and Europe, Nobbert Onaga, has issued a compelling call for a return to foundational values and principles, asserting that a moral reawakening is essential for national transformation. Onaga made this declaration during a press briefing in Lagos over the weekend, held to announce the church's annual Global Camp Meeting, themed "Redigging the Wells of Our Fathers."

Emphasizing the Church's Role in Societal Restoration

Onaga identified the Church as "the pillar and foundation of truth," stressing its responsibility to confront moral decline and restore core values within society. He elaborated, "We are going back to foundational truths that established the Church. These truths will help repair societal damage and reposition the Church as a source of hope and light." The event is scheduled to take place simultaneously at Golden Heart Place, Km 22, Lekki-Epe Expressway, beside Lagos Business School, Ajah, Lagos, and in Enugu from Wednesday, April 1 to Monday, April 6, 2026.

Integrating Spiritual and Practical Skills for Modern Challenges

Also speaking at the briefing, Shola Olapade, the Senior Pastor of Dominion City Headquarters, Lagos, highlighted the Church's pivotal role in addressing ethical and cultural challenges, particularly among young people. He revealed that the programme would extend beyond spiritual teachings to include comprehensive sessions on artificial intelligence, innovation, business, media, arts, and career development. Olapade stated, "We are equipping people not just spiritually, but with relevant 21st-century skills to thrive in today's world."
