Team Nigeria, represented by Team Taraba, has emerged as the winner of an international debate competition held in Rwanda. The Nigerian contingent defeated the host nation in a unanimous decision by a five-member panel of judges, delivering a commanding performance that impressed both judges and spectators.

Stakeholders linked the victory to educational reforms in Taraba State under Governor Agbu Kefas, particularly the free education policy. The efforts of Christiana Taninga Binga, Chairperson of the Taraba State Universal Basic Education Board (TSUBEB), were also highlighted.
