Kwara State Governor, Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, is set to commission a multi-billion naira Model Smart School at Radda community in Charanchi Local Government Area of Katsina State. The governor, who also serves as Chairman of the Nigerian Governors' Forum (NGF), is scheduled to perform the commissioning on Tuesday morning.
According to a statement issued by the governor's spokesperson, Ibrahim Mohammed, the school is one of three Smart Schools established by the state government to modernize the education system and promote digital learning across Katsina State.
“The school is specifically designed to cater for talented and gifted pupils, particularly those from underprivileged and disadvantaged backgrounds, by providing access to quality education, modern learning tools, and a supportive environment aimed at nurturing future leaders,” Mohammed said.
He described the project as a transformative investment in the education sector aimed at repositioning learning outcomes in the state. “The Radda Model Smart School represents a major milestone in efforts to modernize education and equip students with the skills required for the future.”
The project is part of the broader human capital development strategy through the provision of modern infrastructure and digital learning facilities. It reflects the administration's commitment to improving access to quality education and creating a conducive learning environment for children across the state.
The Smart School is equipped with modern facilities designed to support digital learning, innovation, and academic excellence. The initiative aligns with global best practices in education and is expected to serve as a model for similar interventions across the state.
