JAMB Sets UTME Mop-Up for June 13

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has scheduled June 13 for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) mop-up exercise. This examination is specifically for candidates who presented themselves and were biometrically verified for the 2026 UTME but could not sit for the test due to various reasons.

Announcement Details

JAMB disclosed this in a statement issued by its Public Communication Advisor, Fabian Benjamin, in Abuja on Monday, May 25. The statement explained that while the 2026 UTME was conducted from April 16 to 23, some centers experienced technical challenges that prevented many candidates from taking the exam. Additionally, some results were withdrawn due to examination infractions, and some candidates could not be biometrically verified.

Eligibility for Mop-Up

All such candidates have been listed for the mop-up examination. The board emphasized that this mop-up represents the final phase of the annual UTME and serves as an opportunity to address all outstanding examination challenges involving candidates who duly presented themselves but encountered difficulties.

The statement urged affected candidates to print their slips, familiarize themselves with their examination centers, and make all necessary arrangements ahead of the examination date.

Important Note: JAMB warned that there will be no further opportunity for any candidate to sit the 2026 UTME after this mop-up exercise.
