Mother Celebrates Daughter's 253 UTME Score After Fear

A Nigerian mother has publicly celebrated her daughter's performance in the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) after the teenager was too scared to check her result.

Okafor Adaezeperpetul took to Facebook to share her daughter Favour's UTME total score. She revealed that Favour was anxious about checking her result and even asked her mother to pray for her before opening it.

In a post on April 20, Adaezeperpetul announced that her daughter scored 253 marks. She wrote: 'We have checked our JAMB result today. My daughter was scared to check her result; she said, "Mum, pray for me before I open the result." Today she finally checked, and her total score was 253.'

The mother expressed her love and pride, stating, 'I love you so much my child, you're a shining star!'
