Lagos State University (LASU) has officially launched a recruitment drive for its student paramilitary unit, the LASU Cadet Corps. The initiative, announced on January 8, 2026, is designed to cultivate key values and skills among the student body.

The university describes the Cadet Corps as a student-focused paramilitary and leadership development programme. Its core mission is to instill discipline, patriotism, teamwork, and leadership skills in participating students. Beyond personal development, the corps plays a crucial functional role on campus.

How to Apply for the LASU Cadet Corps
The university has made the application process straightforward and accessible. Application forms are available completely free of charge. Interested and qualified students are to collect their forms directly from the Office of the Dean of Students’ Affairs (DSA) located on the LASU campus.
In an official statement, the university clarified: "We encourage all interested and qualified students to apply. There is no fee required to collect or submit application forms." The recruitment is open to all current students of Lagos State University.

The opportunity is exclusive to all current students of Lagos State University. University officials have urged the wider LASU community, including staff and student leaders, to help circulate the information to ensure no eligible candidate misses out.
