Bello El-Rufai Launches School Block Projects in Kaduna North

Bello El-Rufai, the lawmaker representing Kaduna North Federal Constituency, has unveiled a new phase of educational infrastructure projects aimed at improving learning environments in public schools across his constituency. The announcement comes as the election season approaches, highlighting his continued focus on community development.

Details of the New Classroom Blocks

The projects involve the construction of additional three-classroom blocks in three selected public schools. These are Government Secondary School Asma'u Maikarfi in Unguwan Shanu, Government Secondary School Unguwan Rimi in Gabasawa Ward, and LEA Kabala Primary School in Kabala Ward. The selection was based on needs assessments conducted in the area.

This initiative builds on previous interventions, including an earlier classroom block at LEA Rafin Guza in Kawo Ward, which also featured landscaping and artwork to enhance the school's appearance and learning atmosphere.

Monitoring Committee Inaugurated

To ensure effective supervision and coordination, El-Rufai inaugurated a monitoring committee. Hussaini Zubairu Abdulkadir was appointed as supervisor, while Al Amin Yakubu and Yusuf Gambo Imam serve as chairman and vice chairman, respectively. The committee also includes community representatives and ward stakeholders who will oversee the project's implementation and maintain communication with the contractor.

Commitment to Education

El-Rufai emphasized that education remains a cornerstone of community development. He stated, "Education remains one of the most important investments we can make in our people. Every classroom we build and every ICT facility we provide is an investment in the future of our children and our communities." He thanked school managements, staff, and host communities for their cooperation during previous projects.

Despite increasing political activities ahead of future elections, the lawmaker reaffirmed his dedication to constituency development. "The work continues. Our focus is to improve the welfare of the people of Kaduna North despite all election distractions. We will continue to take our oath seriously," he said.

Background on Bello El-Rufai

In a related development, Bello El-Rufai earlier secured the African Democratic Congress (ADC) ticket for Kaduna North Federal Constituency unopposed, receiving 7,727 votes in the party's primary election. His father, former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai, has stated that Bello remains a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) by personal choice, despite his public criticism of the party, reflecting individual conviction rather than family pressure.
