Mr. Abayomi Adeyeri hails from Owo in Ondo State, Nigeria, and comes from a family with a profound heritage in education and community leadership. He is the son of the late Mr. Olu Adeyeri, a respected retired Principal of Owo High School, and the grandson of Reverend Augustus Adeyeri, founder of the historic Adeyeri Grammar School. His mother, a distinguished Professor of Education, began her academic career at what is now Ekiti State University.
Mr. Adeyeri's academic journey includes a Bachelor of Science degree in Botany from the then Ondo State University, Ado-Ekiti, earned in 1990, followed by a Master of Business Administration in Marketing from the University of Maiduguri in 1994. His commitment to professional growth led him to become a Fellow of the Institute of Credit Administration of Nigeria and a member of other key professional bodies.
Distinguished Banking Career and Leadership Roles
Beginning his professional life as a lecturer at the University of Maiduguri from 1993 to 1995, Mr. Adeyeri transitioned into banking in 1996 with Diamond Bank Plc. He built a remarkable career across leading institutions such as Standard Trust Bank and Prudent Bank Plc, where he excelled in customer service and operations management.
In 2004, he joined Ecobank Nigeria Limited, quickly rising through the ranks to serve as Head of Marketing, Branch Manager, and Area Manager in Delta State. His exceptional performance earned him the role of Head of Public Sector Business for the South-South and South-East regions, overseeing operations across eleven states. A highlight of his tenure was leading a project team in 2013 that successfully implemented a robust Management Information System at Ecobank, earning international recognition.

After voluntarily retiring from banking in February 2015, Mr. Adeyeri continued to demonstrate visionary leadership. In 2024, he joined other investment bankers in the strategic acquisition of Tantalizers Plc, aiming to reposition it as a modern "Foodtainment" enterprise. Under this new direction, the company experienced a dramatic turnaround, with its share price soaring from below ₦0.50 to over ₦3.00, making it one of the top-performing stocks on the Nigerian Exchange Limited that year.

Today, Mr. Abayomi Adeyeri serves as the Group Managing Director of Flobal Financial Services Limited, a finance company licensed by the Central Bank of Nigeria. He is happily married to Mrs. Ibironke Adeyeri, an alumna of Ekiti State University, and they are blessed with two sons: Folaranmi, an alumnus of George Washington University, and Ayomikun, an alumnus of the University of Central Florida.
