Lady Gains Admission into ABU After a Decade
A Nigerian lady has celebrated her long-awaited admission into Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria, a decade after completing secondary school. The lady, identified as @faustyeena on TikTok, shared her journey on the platform, detailing the challenges and detours she faced before finally securing a place at the university.
She stated that she finished secondary school in 2016 but did not perform well in the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE). Instead of giving up, she took a job and later began learning hairdressing in 2017. She completed her apprenticeship in 2019 but could not find employment as a stylist, so she took up a teaching job.
From Hairdressing to Teaching and Back to School
In 2022, she decided to rewrite WASSCE and achieved good grades. By 2026, she had opened her own home salon and simultaneously gained admission into ABU. Her story resonated with many on social media, who celebrated her perseverance and determination.
