The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Medical Sciences (UNIMED), Professor Ebunoluwa Adejuyigbe, has been conferred with a prestigious leadership honour by Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) in recognition of her exceptional contributions to higher education and healthcare development in Nigeria. The award was presented during OAU's 65th-anniversary celebration, which carried the theme '65 Years of Excellence: Honouring the Past, Engineering the Future.' The event attracted eminent personalities from across the nation.

As part of the anniversary activities, OAU recognised 65 distinguished Nigerians whose achievements and service have significantly impacted their respective fields and national progress. Professor Adejuyigbe, a renowned paediatrician, scholar, and university administrator, received the award in the 'Outstanding Leadership and Service' category.
