The Zamfara State Ministry of Works and Infrastructure has deployed a team of technical engineers to assess the condition of roads within and around the Federal College of Education (Technical), Gusau (FCET), and the Federal University Gusau (FUG). This initiative is part of ongoing efforts to improve road infrastructure across the state.
Assessment Details
The assessment was disclosed in a statement issued by the ministry’s spokesman, Comrade Jamilu Bello, and made available to journalists in Gusau. According to the statement, the team is led by the Director of Civil Engineering, Engr. Tsalha Mayana. The comprehensive assessment aims to identify road sections requiring urgent intervention and provide technical recommendations for rehabilitation and construction works.
The assessment also covers adjoining access roads and boundary areas to determine the scope of infrastructural improvements needed. The goal is to enhance accessibility and ease of movement for students, staff, and residents of neighbouring communities.
Boundary Assessment
In a related development, the ministry has deployed another team of engineers to conduct a boundary assessment between the Federal College of Education (Technical), Gusau, and Pride FM Radio. This exercise is intended to establish the exact boundary alignment and evaluate the extent of infrastructural work required for possible intervention in the area.

The ministry stated that these initiatives underscore the commitment of the administration of Governor Dauda Lawal to strengthening infrastructure development and improving road networks around key educational institutions across the state.
