The ceremony took place at a notable venue in London, where Dr. Folashade Olukoya was presented with the EuroStar Luminary Award for Creative Excellence. This award, presented on 3 January 2026 Upon receiving the award, Dr. Olukoya shared the profound mission behind her artwork. She stated that her primary goal is to explore the unique roles of women and support their healing journey by combining counselling with creative expression. "Through my artwork many women have rediscovered confidence, purpose and resilience," she revealed. She emphasised that her three-decade experience as a counsellor has exposed her to the emotional wounds suffered by women across continents due to domestic abuse and social marginalisation. Her art serves as a safe space to transform these narratives of pain into symbols of strength. Dr. Olukoya framed her creative pursuit as a divine mandate, citing the biblical verse Ephesians 2:10. "I am deeply honoured and genuinely grateful to receive this distinguished award. My belief that creativity is a divine gift to bless lives and shape culture," she expressed. She maintained that every woman carries a God-given destiny, and creativity is a powerful channel to express it.
