Olori Atuwatse III, Oyedepo, Kae-Kazim Among 2026's 100 Most Reputable Africans
Nigerians Named in 2026 100 Most Reputable Africans List

The Global Reputation Forum, in collaboration with Reputation Poll International (RPI), has officially unveiled its prestigious 100 Most Reputable Africans 2026 list. This annual compilation spotlights individuals from across the continent and its diaspora who exemplify extraordinary integrity, credibility, and have a measurable, positive impact on society.

Nigerian Honourees Shine on the Continental Stage

Several distinguished Nigerians have earned a place on this coveted list, showcasing the nation's depth of influential and trustworthy leadership. Among the prominent names are Her Royal Majesty Olori Atuwatse III, the Queen Consort of the Warri Kingdom; the founder and presiding bishop of the Living Faith Church Worldwide, Bishop David Oyedepo; and renowned Nollywood actor and producer, Hakeem Kae-Kazim.

The list also features other notable Nigerians including the Senior Pastor of Dunamis International Gospel Centre, Dr. Paul Enenche; philanthropist and entrepreneur Tony Elumelu; and Reverend Ezekiel Bwede Dachomo. Their inclusion highlights a diverse range of contributions spanning royalty, faith-based leadership, business, entertainment, and humanitarian service.

Beyond Fame: A Benchmark for Trust and Character

According to the organisers, the 2026 list is deliberately curated to move beyond conventional metrics of fame or financial success. It is designed as a benchmark of trust, aiming to reshape the global narrative about Africa. Instead of focusing on deficits, the list celebrates the continent's most valuable asset: its people of high character and repute.

In a statement, RPI emphasised that reputation is a dynamic and strategic asset. It is built through ethical conduct, accountability, and a steadfast commitment to service, especially under pressure. The selection criteria reflect this, honouring those who have consistently demonstrated these values.

The list showcases a broad mix of generations and sectors, including governance, enterprise, science, culture, and sport. A standout honouree is the eldest recipient, Dr. Magdi Yacoub, the world-renowned cardiothoracic surgeon. His pioneering work in heart transplant techniques is celebrated as a testament to lifelong humanitarian service and borderless scientific innovation.

Reputation Requires Continuous Stewardship

The organisers made a critical point: inclusion on this list is neither permanent nor automatic. They stressed that a strong reputation is a quality that demands ongoing stewardship, responsibility, and consistent ethical action. It is not an award but a recognition of earned public trust.

By highlighting these individuals, the Global Reputation Forum seeks to establish a standard for current and future leaders. The initiative asserts that Africa's future trajectory will be shaped as much by the character of its leaders as by its economic resources or political policies.

The full roster, presented in alphabetical order, serves as a powerful collective affirmation. It underscores the values of excellence, integrity, and responsibility that the organisers believe will define a prosperous and respected Africa in the years to come.
