Esther Sky made her position clear in a lengthy post where she questioned why Nigerians were attacking Laila Charani. "Why are you all going to @mnslailacharani Lia Lia's comment section to insult an innocent woman for no reason?" she wrote. "Did she come for Regina? No, Regina came for her!"

The tension began when Regina Daniels, in a series of social media posts, suggested that someone was trying to "be her by all means." She later revealed that she had attempted to build peace and understanding with Laila Charani, but these efforts allegedly led to disappointment.

Police spokesperson SP Abimbola Adebisi confirmed that Lagos police operatives did not carry out the arrest. Instead, police officers from Abuja executed the operation with a duly signed warrant.
