David Ekubo Removes Social Media Posts Accusing Stepmother

David Ekubo, the cousin of late Nollywood actor Alexx Ekubo, has deleted multiple Instagram posts that called out the deceased's stepmother over alleged negligence surrounding the actor's death. The deletion comes days after David made headlines for demanding answers about the circumstances leading to Alexx's passing.

In the now-removed posts, David had accused the stepmother of failing to inform Alexx's biological sister about the deterioration of his health. He wrote: "We are Igbo's, and we have a culture. Let the blogger let us know if they would allow such in their own family. This stepmother sat quietly and watched him as his health deteriorated, vital organs removed and till he took his last breath without informing his only biological sister, who has been on the journey of life with him. Yes, only a stepmother would do that. No real mother would do that to siblings or children that she birth."

David also clarified that the family does not recognize claims about Alexx being married, stressing that their questions are directed solely at his stepmother. Alongside deleting the posts, he locked the comment section on his Instagram page.

David's Tribute to Alexx Remains Online

As of the time of this report, David's last post on Instagram and Facebook is a heartfelt tribute to Alexx following his death. The message reads: "Kenna my heart aches beyond words. Your sudden departure has left a pain so deep that it is hard to accept you are truly gone. You were more than a cousin to me, you were a brother, a friend, and a cherished part of my life, you, I call you RESTORER because you usually appear when the going gets tough, when all hope was lost. The memories we shared will forever remain in my heart, and the void you have left can never be filled. Though tears flow and our hearts are broken, we thank God for the time we had with you. Sleep on, Ikenna Nwannem? You will be forever loved, deeply missed, and never forgotten. Rest in perfect peace."

The deletion of the accusatory posts has raised questions about the status of the family dispute, with many wondering if the matter has been resolved privately or if David faced pressure to remove the content.

Other Family Members Support Allegations

Legit.ng earlier reported that another relative of Alexx Ekubo, Clinton, corroborated David's claims about the stepmother. Clinton alleged what he witnessed during the actor's burial, further fueling the controversy. The family drama has sparked widespread reactions on social media, with fans and followers expressing mixed opinions.

Daddy Freeze Weighs In

Media personality Daddy Freeze also reacted to the family drama in a viral video. He called out a critic of his attire at Alexx's service of songs, demanding an apology. Freeze said: "We can see that there is an issue with the dress code, I went as led by the spirit, in all honesty I didn't see the white, I don't understand the white."

The situation continues to evolve as the Ekubo family navigates the aftermath of the actor's untimely death. David's decision to delete the posts may indicate a shift in the family's approach to handling the matter publicly.
