Media personality Ifedayo Olarinde, popularly known as Daddy Freeze, has spoken out about the death of Nollywood actor Alexx Ekubo. In a video shared online, he discussed the actor's crashed engagement and blamed his ex-fiancée, Fancy Acholonu, for the way the breakup unfolded.
Daddy Freeze on Alexx Ekubo's Emotional Decline
According to Daddy Freeze, the actor never fully recovered from the public fallout of his engagement. He stated that after the breakup, Alexx Ekubo gradually withdrew from social media and became silent. Daddy Freeze recalled that he was not particularly close to the late actor, but remembered that actor IK Ogbonna accompanied Alexx to his house following the relationship's collapse.
Daddy Freeze emphasized that the breakup affected Alexx Ekubo more deeply than many people realized. He suggested that some individuals deliberately end relationships to cause emotional harm to their partners. He further noted that while Alexx Ekubo's life was ultimately cut short by cancer, the emotional trauma he endured may have weakened his body and hindered his battle against the illness.

Drawing from his own life, Daddy Freeze revealed that after his first marriage ended, his ex-wife allegedly threatened to keep his children away from him, which eventually happened. He added that his second wife, who was already close to him, helped him recover from the emotional breakdown caused by that separation.
