She stated he battled this condition for over a year, with his health deteriorating significantly until his death on Sunday, January 18, 2026.
In one poignant video, she showed clips of them together, noting how the sickness had caused him to lose weight and stature. "See as e lean. The sickness is too much for him. He's too small for that kind of sickness. He really suffer," she said in a mix of English and Pidgin, paying tribute with "Rest on Ayinde. I really miss you here."
