Nigerian Man Cancels First Date After Lady Asks for Money to Buy New Dress
A Nigerian man has sparked widespread discussion online after sharing a detailed account of why he cancelled a first date at the last minute. The man, identified on social media as @sir_lux_, posted about his experience, which quickly went viral and drew numerous reactions from users.
Unexpected Turn of Events Before the Date
According to the man, both parties had agreed to meet for a date at 6 p.m. and had been communicating smoothly throughout the day without any apparent issues. However, just 30 minutes before the scheduled time, the woman sent him a message explaining that the dress she intended to wear had a broken zip, leaving her frustrated.
In response, the man suggested she simply choose another outfit from her wardrobe so they could proceed with their plans as agreed. After about 10 minutes, the woman sent another message, this time asking if he could send her money to buy a new dress from a boutique.
This request was the final straw for the man, leading him to cancel the date immediately. He shared the conversation on X, writing: "Date cancelled ? We both agreed to go on a date today by 6pm. We spoke in the morning and afternoon. 30 minutes to date time, She texted that the cloth she wanted to wear, the zip just got spoiled and she is frustrated about it. I suggested she change to another dress, look for another dress on her wardrobe. After like 10 minutes, she texted me and asked 'if I can send her some money to buy a new dress at the boutique'. I still never reply?"
