Senator's Urgent Plea for Wife's Rehabilitation
Senator Ned Nwoko has made an emotional public appeal demanding that his wife, popular actress Regina Daniels, immediately enter a rehabilitation facility to address what he describes as a severe drug addiction crisis. The politician revealed that multiple toxicology reports show dangerous levels of harmful substances in her system, creating an urgent health situation.
In an exclusive interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), Nwoko expressed grave concern about his wife's wellbeing, stating he had rushed her to Nizamiye Hospital unconscious on three separate occasions over the past eight months due to drug overdose incidents.
The Children's Future at Stake
The senator's primary concern centers on their two young sons, who he says need their mother healthy and present. "I want her alive and healthy, not just for me, but for our children," Nwoko emphasized. "We have two young kids together, and they cannot fight for themselves, so I'm going to fight for them by safeguarding their mother."
He delivered a chilling warning about the potential consequences of inaction: "Many people have died of drug overdose, and if anything happens to her now, what will I tell her children tomorrow?"
Alarming Behavioral Changes and Health Crises
Nwoko detailed concerning changes in his wife's behavior and health over recent months. He noted that Regina's typically calm personality had transformed dramatically, with her now exhibiting "violent and destructive behaviour" alongside recurring health emergencies.
The senator presented what he claims are toxicology results showing several substances at toxic levels in the actress's system. He dismissed recent statements from Regina's mother and siblings denying the drug abuse allegations as "baseless distractions" from the real issue.
"That is why I am saying that everybody has to calm down and join hands to save her," Nwoko urged. "But she and her mother are living in denial. If they really want to prove me wrong, let them arrange for her to visit any toxicologist of their choice — I will pay."
Allegations of Enablers and Supply Networks
In a shocking revelation, Nwoko accused Regina's close friends and family members, particularly her brother Sammy, of actively enabling her addiction. He claimed these individuals he once trusted were exploiting her resources to supply her with drugs, thereby deepening her dependency.
"Imagine the pain of a husband trying to help his wife recover from an addiction, only to have the process sabotaged by her siblings and friends," Nwoko expressed. "Each time progress was made, they would undo it by smuggling in the same drugs she was fighting to give up."
The senator also addressed claims made by Regina's brother about his son dying from drug overdose in the UK, stating that autopsy results did not indicate drug-related complications as the cause of death.
Ongoing Marital Crisis and Counter-Allegations
The couple's marital troubles became public knowledge in October when a viral video showed Regina Daniels in tears, accusing Nwoko of domestic violence. The senator responded by alleging his wife was struggling with drug and alcohol addiction.
Earlier today, the situation took another dramatic turn when Regina Daniels admitted to using hard drugs but counter-accused Nwoko of orchestrating her addiction as part of a pattern of control and manipulation. She also alleged that the lawmaker is in possession of her private sex tape.
Nwoko maintains that rehabilitation is essential to prevent Regina from accessing drugs while she completes treatment, emphasizing that this is the only way to ensure she can raise their children in "a sane and healthy environment." He concluded that anyone discouraging her from seeking proper medical care was "her real enemy and that of her children."
