Popular Nigerian content creator and streamer, Habeeb Hamzat, popularly known as Peller, has stirred reactions online with a financial incentive he promised to Super Eagles forward, Ademola Lookman.
The N500,000 Per Goal Promise
In a video shared on social media, Peller declared his intention to motivate the Atlanta FC star ahead of Nigeria's crucial match against Morocco. He swore to give Ademola Lookman the sum of five hundred thousand Naira (₦500,000) for every goal he scores in the encounter.
The highly anticipated match is scheduled for January 14, 2026, at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat. This comes after the Super Eagles' recent victory over Algeria, a match in which Lookman featured.
Nigerian Fans Blast 'Small' Amount
Rather than praise Peller for his gesture, a large section of football fans took to the comment section to criticize the amount, describing it as paltry for a player of Lookman's caliber.
Many termed the offer as "see finish"—a Nigerian pidgin expression implying taking someone's generosity for granted or making a promise that underestimates the recipient's worth. They argued that the streamer was making loud promises without considering the footballer's substantial weekly earnings.
One fan, @ChristianAjibi1, pointedly asked, "You know how much Ademola is earning as a footballer?" Another, @shagmoneydrix, simply commented, "This one na see finish o."
Skepticism and Alternative Suggestions
