Phyna Offers Davido Peace Talks After 2-Year Feud: Demands Explanation
Phyna Opens Door to Peace Talks with Davido After Two Years

In a significant shift from her previous stance, Big Brother Naija reality star, Phyna, has declared her readiness to end a nearly two-year-long public disagreement with Afrobeats megastar, Davido.

The Olive Branch Extended on Live Stream

The former BBNaija "Level Up" winner made this revelation during a candid conversation on her recent Twitch livestream. Phyna indicated that time and personal growth have led her to seek closure on the matter that has lingered since October 2023.

She expressed a willingness to tender a public apology to the singer, whom she acknowledged as her senior in the industry. However, Phyna attached a crucial condition to this peace offering.

Clarity Demanded on the Infamous "Liked" Post

The core of the conflict traces back to an incident where Davido liked a social media post that described Phyna's fans as "useless." This action did not go unnoticed and triggered a fiery online exchange.

Davido's subsequent response, where he claimed he did not know who Phyna was, was perceived by many as dismissive and only served to intensify the rift. Now, Phyna wants a direct explanation from the source.

"If I have the opportunity to stream with Davido, I will take it," Phyna stated during the livestream. "Yea he senior me, he choke pass me normal. I'm going to tender apology to him, but before rendering the apology, we need to understand where that our quarrel really dey come from."

She specifically called for Davido, whom she referred to as "Baba Ibeji," to clarify if liking the controversial post was an error. "Like baba Ibeji needs to really tell me that na by mistake him take like that comment wey cause problem. Then he will now explain his side of the issue," she added.

A New Perspective on Past Comments

Phyna also revisited Davido's "I don't know you" comment, suggesting there might have been a misunderstanding. "You see that 'I don't know you' wey baba Ibeji talk, e fit be like say na we take am the wrong way," she mused, showing a more conciliatory and reflective attitude compared to the heat of the initial dispute.

This development marks a potential turning point in a celebrity feud that has captivated fans of Nigerian entertainment for almost two years. Whether this leads to an actual dialogue between the two personalities remains to be seen, but the door for reconciliation is now officially ajar.
