Vanessa Trump, the 48-year-old ex-wife of Donald Trump Jr., revealed on Wednesday, May 20, that she has been diagnosed with breast cancer. She shared the news in an emotional Instagram post, describing it as a personal health update.

In her post, she wrote: 'I have recently been diagnosed with breast cancer. While this is not the news anyone expects, I am working closely with my medical team on a treatment plan. I would like to thank my doctors for performing a procedure earlier this week on me.'

Vanessa expressed that she is staying focused and hopeful, surrounded by the love and support of her family, children, and those closest to her. She added, 'Thank you for your kindness and support; it truly means more than I can express. I kindly ask for privacy as I focus on my health and recovery.'

The post was quickly flooded with well-wishes, including a message from Ivanka Trump, the president's eldest daughter, who wrote: 'Praying for your continued strength and a swift recovery. Love you mama.' Tiffany Trump, another of Donald Trump's daughters, also liked the post.

Vanessa Trump was married to Donald Trump Jr. from 2005 to 2018, and they share five children: Kai, 19; Donald, 17; Tristan, 14; Spencer, 13; and Chloe, 11. She was recently photographed celebrating Kai's prep school graduation in Florida alongside her ex-husband and family friends.

Kai responded to her mother's announcement with her own Instagram post, sharing a heartwarming photo of the two smiling at each other with the caption: 'Strongest person I know. Love you.'
