Amid growing concerns over rising insecurity, ritual killings, and economic hardship in Nigeria, Peace of God Apostolic and Prophetic Ministries Global, in partnership with the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) and the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Surulere Zone, Lagos State, is organizing a mega crusade to offer hope to the nation. The three-day event, themed “Help from Above,” will take place from Saturday, May 30, to Monday, June 1, at the National Stadium, Surulere, starting at 4:30 p.m. daily.
Convener’s Message
Speaking to the media, the convener, Archbishop Mary Oluwaseun Ajisafe, stated that the program aims to provide hope to dispirited Nigerians and encourage them to return to God, who can solve all problems. She lamented the economic hardship, kidnapping, and increasing reliance on occultic powers in the country, warning of impending doom unless people turn back to God. According to her, the mega crusade was divinely directed and is all-encompassing because everyone is affected by the nation’s challenges.
Ajisafe emphasized that the crusade was born out of the burden God placed on her heart to deliver Nigerians from occultism, poverty, and hopelessness. She noted that when a problem exists, a solution is available, and in spiritual matters, God is the ultimate provider. The prelate observed that people are seeking help everywhere without turning to God, who holds the keys to breakthroughs, healing, deliverance, and elevation without resorting to diabolical means.
She shared: “God spoke to me before we entered 2026. He said, ‘My daughter, I want a mega crusade. Go and deliver my people from the arms of ritualists. Bring them back to me. Speak to them about me again. Let them know I am capable of doing everything for them. So that they will seek God rather than involve themselves in money rituals, especially the younger ones. God wants to change their mentality. The third one is salvation for all. God said, ‘I want to come back as a king to the land and to their lives, so that they will know me more.’ And He continued talking to me at midnight, in the morning, every time. ‘Go to the National Stadium. Go and tell my people that I can do everything for them and that they need me in all ramifications.’”
PFN Chairman’s Remarks
The PFN Chairman for Surulere Province, Rev. John Bello, stated that the crusade aligns with the vision of Pastor Yemi Davis, the Lagos State PFN chairman, to rescue the land since he assumed office two years ago. He explained that the yearly event began last year, with the last Saturday of May designated for soul winning. Bello noted that PFN thrives in unity, hence the collaboration with Peace of God Apostolic and Prophetic Ministries Global. He called on all bodies, camps, and associations that value soul winning to join in advancing the vision.
He stressed that Pastor Yemi Davis will lead other notable men of God at the National Stadium, Surulere, where divine help is expected to impact the lives of Lagos residents. Addressing insecurity, Bello advised the government to do more, describing the country as bleeding. He noted that the church, through PFN, has been supporting victims of insecurity, especially in Benue State, through donations of food and relief items. Beyond prayers, he called for church unity and active Christian involvement in politics to rescue the nation.
Bello said: “Our leader must have prayed and sought direction from God, and we have been led into this year’s theme, ‘Help from Above.’ I am sure it is very relevant to individuals, families, the church, nations, and children as a whole. So, we are looking up to God because sometimes, as an individual, family, group, or nation, there may be situations that are difficult to handle. So you do all you can and, at the same time, you pray because, in Nigeria, we believe in prayer and we believe in God. We have also realized that the Bible says the government shall be upon His shoulders. I want to believe that the church is the shoulder of Christ upon which governmental power shall rest. So, the era of negligence is over. We are encouraging our people to take part in governance at the local, state, and federal levels. I believe that, in a very short while, we are going to witness transformation because more people will become involved in the governance of the country. I want everybody to go and get their voter’s card because you cannot say you want something good and not participate. So, I encourage every Christian to get their voter’s card so that they will be able to vote for who they want.”
CAN Chairman’s Statement
The Chairman of CAN Surulere Chapter, Snr. Apostle James Akingboye, expressed confidence that the crusade would restore hope to Nigerians at this critical moment. He added that the event would attract participants from outside Lagos State and Nigeria.
