Over 1,000 Children Benefit from Holdbodi Support in Lagos

In commemoration of Children's Day 2026, Holdbodi Community Support conducted a food outreach across multiple communities in Lagos, providing meals and food support through a collective effort involving six brands and 51 individuals. The outreach took place in Ebute-Metta, Makoko, Agege, and Ogba, reaching 1,347 children and adults.

Community Impact

According to Abiola Akinyemi, founder of Holdbodi, the initiative was created to make food access easier. He noted that the outreach reminded everyone that food access remains an everyday reality for many people. What started as a Children's Day event became a broader moment of community support across Lagos.

Partners Speak Out

Mr. Niyi Abiola, brand manager of Leadway Group, stated that their partnership with Holdbodi is built on a shared understanding that community support must be intentional and close to people's daily realities. He emphasized that every child deserves the freedom to play, laugh, and simply be a child.

Originally designed as a feeding initiative for underserved children, the outreach evolved organically in response to real needs. Food support was extended to market women, commercial riders, and other residents encountered during distribution.

Adeleke Adeleye, COO of FAE Envelopes, highlighted the importance of proper nutrition in children's growth and development. Uche Olise, brand and marketing manager at SRS Collection, said strong communities are built through meaningful acts of care and connection. Francis Ajilore, CEO of Poshfield, added that every child deserves a safe, happy space to grow and dream.

Holdbodi's Mission

Over the past year, Holdbodi has worked to improve food access through flexible payment options, personal food shopping, and community-centered support. The Children's Day outreach marks the debut activation of Holdbodi Community Support, an arm focused on connecting willing helpers with communities in need.
