US-Based Nigerian Woman Celebrates Friend's First Marriage at Over 60, Says Nothing Is Too Late
Friend Marries for First Time at Over 60, Nothing Is Too Late

A US-based Nigerian woman, Catherine Nduka, has affirmed that it is never too late to find companionship and true love. She made this statement in a Facebook post after attending the wedding of a friend who is over 60 years old, marrying for the first time.

Friend's Journey to Marriage

According to Nduka, her friend had decided to focus on building her life and making money after experiencing hurtful relationships. The bride had turned down many responsible men who asked for her hand in marriage, keeping only a few as friends.

Nduka admitted she thought her friend would never marry until she received a call in January this year. The friend announced she was planning her wedding, leaving Nduka shocked. "How? But you are 60… almost 70!" Nduka exclaimed. The friend laughed and replied, "Catherine, at least I still have 40 years to have a husband. 40 years to love a man. 40 years to live with the man I love."

A Wealthy Groom

When asked if she was marrying just to fulfill a long-time goal, the friend said no, explaining that God had sent the right person her way. The groom, aged 62, is wealthy like the bride and has never been married. He owns a company and remains strong. The couple plans to honeymoon in the Maldives.

Nduka concluded, "Nothing is too late. At the right time, everything can still come together in a way that feels complete. It can feel like you never really lost anything. Don't rush life. Let things come together at the right time."
