Nigerian Woman's Escape Plan from Delta Husband Goes Viral
Woman's Strategy to Leave Delta Husband Revealed

A Nigerian woman's detailed account of her escape from a troubled marriage has sparked crucial conversations about safety planning for women considering leaving their partners.

The Day of the Escape

Tracy Mcwary took to Facebook on Monday, November 10, 2025, to share her harrowing experience attempting to leave her husband from Delta North Senatorial District. The mother of one revealed that when she finally decided to pack her belongings and leave, her ex-husband, who was away from home at the time, implemented drastic measures to prevent her departure.

Through remote commands, he instructed the security guard to lock the main gate of their property. More alarmingly, he used a tracker he had previously installed on her vehicle to remotely lock her car, effectively trapping her within the compound and cutting off her primary means of transportation.

Executing the Safety Plan

Rather than succumbing to panic, Tracy immediately activated her predetermined safety strategy. She first contacted her brothers, including one who serves as a military officer. They responded promptly, arriving at the location with additional support from their friends to ensure her protection.

Simultaneously, Tracy reached out to a Deputy Commissioner of Police, who connected her directly with an Area Commander. Understanding the urgency of the situation, the Area Commander immediately dispatched police officers to the residence to provide official security presence and intervention.

The Confrontation and Aftermath

When Tracy's ex-husband returned to the property intending to stop her from leaving, he encountered an unexpected scene. He found her brothers, their friends, and multiple police officers already on the ground, prepared to ensure her safe departure.

Faced with this coordinated response, the man fled the scene immediately. Although those present pursued him, he managed to escape the area. This allowed Tracy to safely gather her belongings and arrange for a towing van to transport her immobilized vehicle to Gwarinpa Police Station for temporary safekeeping.

She later returned to remove the tracking device from her car and reclaim her vehicle without further interference. Her experience led to her now-viral advice: "When you marry a Delta man, and you want to leave, make a plan. Don't just leave—PLAN!"
