Nigerian Afro-fusion artist EnergyBank has officially announced the upcoming release of his highly anticipated musical project titled 'The Quiet Resilience', scheduled to hit all major digital platforms on November 13, 2025. This marks a significant comeback for the artist, who has been on a hiatus from the music scene.
A Deep Dive into 'The Quiet Resilience'
The new project is a compact, six-track collection that promises to take listeners on an emotional and reflective journey. The tracklist includes songs named 'Kum Kum,' 'Oldtaker,' 'Jumanji,' '9/5,' 'Next One,' and 'End of Discussion'. EnergyBank describes the sound as a rich fusion of various genres, seamlessly blending the rhythms of Afrobeats with elements of R&B, hip-hop, and classic highlife.
Born in Lagos with deep family roots in Anambra State, the artist explained that his sound is continuously evolving while remaining firmly grounded in African musical traditions. He shared the core theme of the project, stating, "This album is about strength in silence—about standing tall even when the world goes quiet. It's my way of saying that resilience isn't always loud; sometimes, it's just you, your thoughts, and your faith in the next chapter."
The Artist's Journey and Musical Influences
EnergyBank is no stranger to the Nigerian music industry. His previous works, which include the collaboration 'Ife Adigo' with renowned guitarist Fiokee, and popular singles like 'Dead President' and 'ChopLife,' have often drawn from personal experiences and contained sharp social commentary.
His artistic palette was further broadened by his time living in the United Arab Emirates between 2019 and 2022. During this period, he was exposed to a diverse array of global sounds, including Russian folk music, Arabic pop, and Italian opera. These international influences have subtly woven their way into the fabric of his current musical output, adding unique layers to his Afro-fusion foundation.
Music as an Emotional Lifeline
In a past revelation reported by The Guardian, EnergyBank opened up about the profound emotional connection he has with his craft. He described music as both his primary creative outlet and a crucial emotional refuge. The artist confessed that he often experiences feelings of depression when he is not actively in the studio creating.
"I feel depressed each time I'm not in the studio recording because I love to create," he admitted. "When I'm creating music, it gives me fulfilment and helps me express emotions I don't usually share with people. I love writing, so I spend hours writing songs and quotes that sometimes don't even make sense."
He emphasized that the absence of recording leaves him feeling restless and unsettled, crediting his mother for initially nurturing his passion for music through her eclectic collection of albums from artists like Yanni, Abba, and various Christian musicians. His early exposure to the sounds of Fela Kuti and old highlife records at friends' homes also played a pivotal role in shaping his musical direction.
'The Quiet Resilience' will be available for streaming and download on all major platforms, including Spotify, Apple Music, Audiomack, Boomplay, YouTube Music, and Deezer, starting November 13, 2025.
