Popular Nigerian TikTok streamer Habeeb Hamzat, widely known as Peller, has successfully met with American rapper and content creator DDG in Lagos. This meeting comes just days after a viral video surfaced online showing Peller expressing deep anxiety about his spoken English skills and reluctance to meet international peers.
Viral Video Reveals Streamer's Anxiety
The now-famous clip, which began circulating on Saturday night, captured a candid conversation between Peller and fellow streamer Enzo. They were discussing plans to connect with DDG, who was in Nigeria, ahead of the anticipated visit of another global streaming star, IShowSpeed.
In the video, Enzo encouraged Peller to simply introduce himself, suggesting he say, "Just tell him my name is Peller, like the way you normally do." Peller's response revealed his insecurity: "My talk, in English, e no go go o!" As Enzo pressed on, mentioning that IShowSpeed was expected to arrive the following day, Peller declared, "I no go even see am."
When questioned about his hesitation, the 20-year-old content creator pointed squarely to his language concerns, stating, "Nah, English o! I am going to university soon to study art." This left Enzo visibly confused, asking, "What is really going through your head?"
From Doubt to a Lagos Meet-Up
Despite his initial fears, Peller did eventually meet DDG in Lagos, with Enzo helping to facilitate the encounter. During their interaction, Peller spoke briefly about his rapid rise in the streaming world since 2022 and how sudden fame has transformed his life.
The mood lightened when Peller humorously claimed he only knew Portuguese after being asked to name DDG's songs. DDG played along, teased the group, briefly handed over his live stream to Peller, and hinted at potential future collaborations.
This meeting occurs as American streamer IShowSpeed continues his ambitious 'Speed Does Africa' tour, a 28-day live streaming project that kicked off on December 29, 2025. The tour is slated to cover 20 African countries, including Nigeria, with daily streams on YouTube and Twitch.
Personal Struggles and a Path Forward
Beyond streaming, Peller has been in the public eye due to personal challenges. He recently confirmed the end of his highly publicized relationship with fellow influencer Amadou Elizabeth Aminata, known as Jarvis, during a TikTok livestream on January 1, 2026.
This breakup followed a distressing incident in December 2025, where Peller, in a state of emotional turmoil, deliberately crashed his Mercedes-Benz on the Lekki-Epe Expressway. The event led to his hospitalization and arrest, sparking wider conversations about mental health pressures on young creators.
Peller revealed he subsequently reached out to Jarvis's family to apologize. "I have spoken with her family. I begged them to forgive me. They were initially angry, but they later forgave me," he shared. He added that while they agreed to remain friends, Jarvis requested space, telling him, "She told me to vanish for now and not be around her. We are friends for now."
Looking ahead, Peller stated his focus for 2026 is on personal growth and faith. "This is 2026. I want to focus on my life and enjoy my life. I don't want girls around me," he said, also urging women not to approach him romantically and appealing for modesty during his broadcasts.
