The Ekiti State governorship election kicked off smoothly on Saturday as voting and accreditation began at Ward 13, Unit 001, Farm Settlement, Ilawe Road, Ado-Ekiti. Eligible voters arrived early to participate in the electoral process.
Early Start and Security Presence
Electoral officials were on ground early to attend to voters, while security personnel maintained a visible presence to ensure a peaceful and orderly exercise. In line with the electoral guidelines, accreditation and voting were conducted simultaneously.
Atmosphere and Compliance
The atmosphere remained calm and orderly as election officials, party agents and accredited observers monitored the process and worked to ensure compliance with electoral procedures.
One of the voters, Saka Jimoh Folaranmi, commended the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for what he described as a seamless accreditation and voting process.
