Kwara Female Reps Aspirant Adeyemi Empowers 5,000 Households with N500M Items
Adejoke Mistura Adeyemi, a female aspirant for the House of Representatives representing Isin/Irepodun/Oke Ero/Ekiti Federal Constituency in Kwara State, has empowered no fewer than 5,000 households with items valued at over N500 million. The empowerment initiative, which included a wide range of goods and services, was aimed at supporting vulnerable groups and boosting local economies across the constituency.
Grassroots Commitment and Political Vision
Adeyemi explained that her decision to vie for the elective office is deeply rooted in her passion for service, grassroots development, and the urgent need to amplify the voices of her people at the national level. She emphasized that over the years, she has closely engaged with communities across the constituency, witnessing first-hand the gaps in infrastructure, youth empowerment, women inclusion, and access to opportunities.
"I am stepping forward not just as a candidate but as a servant-leader committed to effective representation, people-oriented legislation, and sustainable development," Adeyemi said. "This ambition is driven by a clear vision to bring governance closer to the people and ensure that the dividends of democracy are felt in every ward and community."
Extensive Political Engagement and Support
Described as a grassroots politician by party stalwarts, Adeyemi highlighted her long-standing involvement in politics, spanning several years from the ward level to the state level. She has actively engaged with party structures, community leaders, women groups, youth associations, and other critical stakeholders, building strong relationships based on trust, accessibility, and service.
"Through this long-standing engagement, I have built strong relationships based on trust, accessibility, and service. I am confident that I have significant support and goodwill from key stakeholders across the constituency, as my track record speaks to my commitment and sincerity of purpose," she stressed.
Addressing Representation Gaps and Future Plans
Adeyemi lamented the major gap in current representation, noting a disconnect between leadership and the grassroots where many constituents feel unheard, underserved, and disconnected from the benefits of governance. She identified a need for more impactful empowerment programmes, strategic infrastructure development, and stronger advocacy at the national level.
Her plan to bridge this gap includes:
- Accessible representation: Regular town hall meetings and open communication channels.
- Legislative advocacy: Championing bills and motions that directly benefit the people.
- Targeted empowerment programmes: Skills acquisition, business support, and job creation initiatives.
- Infrastructure development: Partnering with federal and private sectors to improve roads, schools, and healthcare facilities.
"I pledge to deliver results that are visible, measurable, and sustainable," she assured.

Beneficiaries of the empowerment programmes praised Adeyemi's humanitarian services to women, youths, children, vulnerable groups, and communities, pledging solidarity for her political ambition as a Member of the House of Representatives in the forthcoming 2027 general elections.
