Upon arrival, President Tinubu was warmly received by senior Kenyan government officials led by Musalia Mudavadi, Cabinet Secretary for Foreign and Diaspora Affairs. Also present were Nigeria's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu, and the Kenyan High Commissioner to Nigeria, Ambassador Isaac Parashina.

In related news, President Tinubu has appointed Mrs. Arinola Ogbara-Banjoko as a non-executive director on the board of the Nigeria Commodity Exchange. The appointment was announced in a statement on May 7 by the special adviser to the president on information and strategy, Bayo Onanuga.
