Pastor Joel Odigwe of the Glory of Wealth and Righteousness Fellowship in Asaba, Delta State, has called on opposition leader Peter Gregory Obi to seek prophetic guidance ahead of the 2027 presidential elections in Nigeria. In a video recently published on his YouTube channel, Odigwe emphasized that elections in Africa's most populous democracy are determined in the spiritual realm rather than solely through ballots.
Prophetic Counsel for 2027
Odigwe stated that President Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) offered 'God the highest sacrifice' to achieve his lifelong ambition. He urged Obi, a presidential aspirant under the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), to consult specific clerics for accurate spiritual direction. 'I have a prophecy for Mr. Peter Obi,' Odigwe said. 'He has said countless times that he is not desperate to be president, but he is desperate to see Nigeria work. For him to be president, it is 100% possible.'
Spiritual Battle for Nigeria
The pastor declared that God has revealed a leader being prepared in a 'cave' and that Nigeria will witness divine intervention when that leader emerges. He stressed, 'Elections are not won on the ballot; they are won in the spirit.' Odigwe named pastors Chris Oyakhilome, Uebert Angel, and Johnson Suleman as key figures who could provide Obi with the necessary spiritual backing. 'They need to lay hands on you so that you can have accurate direction from the realms of God,' he added.
