APC Chieftain Condemns Anti-Nwoko Political Ambitions as Selfish and Unnecessary
A prominent chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Chief Emmanuel Eboh, has strongly criticized emerging political ambitions aimed at opposing Senator Ned Nwoko's bid for a second term in office. Eboh described such moves as fundamentally self-serving, unnecessary, and potentially damaging to the peace and developmental progress of Delta North Senatorial District.
Widespread Support for Nwoko in Anioma Region
Speaking during an exclusive interview conducted in Abuja, Eboh, who previously served as a Civil Commissioner in Delta State, emphasized that Senator Nwoko continues to enjoy extensive goodwill and robust support across Delta North, an area popularly referred to as Anioma. While acknowledging that political aspirations are a legitimate aspect of any democratic environment, he issued a stern warning against what he characterized as "the unacceptable drift towards turning politics into a family enterprise and a tool for power control and manipulation."

Eboh urgently appealed to residents of the Aniocha/Oshimili Federal Constituency and the broader Delta North district to actively resist "the inordinate ambition of some Shylock politicians driven by selfish motives and unrestrained personal interests." He cautioned that personality-driven ambitions, as opposed to people-oriented leadership, could precipitate avoidable rivalry and deep-seated division within the district, undermining collective progress.
Commendable Performance and Advocacy
The APC stalwart maintained that Senator Nwoko's performance during his tenure has been highly commendable and fully merits re-election. He cited numerous impactful interventions, including:
- Rural road construction projects
- Electrification initiatives
- Educational support programs
- Potable water supply schemes
- Various empowerment programs for constituents
Eboh also highlighted the senator's sustained and vigorous advocacy for the recognition and distinct identity of the Anioma people, describing this effort as "unprecedented in the political history of the district."

According to Eboh, "Senator Nwoko has not only met expectations but surpassed them. He deserves re-election, particularly given the fact that the core constitutional responsibility of a senator is lawmaking for the good governance of the nation."
