Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has expressed confidence in his chances of securing a second term in office, insisting that the achievements of his administration will be the deciding factor in the forthcoming governorship election. The governor said his administration has recorded significant progress across key sectors, including infrastructure, education, healthcare, workers’ welfare and grassroots development, stressing that its performance remains its strongest campaign asset.

Statewide Tour and Updated Agenda

Adeleke disclosed that he would embark on a statewide tour ahead of the August 15 governorship election to engage residents, highlight his administration’s accomplishments and unveil an updated Five-Point Agenda aimed at accelerating development across the state. He also challenged opposition parties to focus on issue-based campaigns, urging voters to assess candidates based on their track records, policy proposals and vision for the future of the state.

Confidence in Electoral Mandate

According to the governor, the widespread support enjoyed by his administration, coupled with the impact of its programmes across various sectors, has strengthened his confidence that the electorate will renew his mandate at the polls. Adeleke maintained that his government remains committed to consolidating its achievements and delivering more democratic dividends to the people of Osun State, expressing optimism about the outcome of the election.
