APC Accuses Opposition of Undermining Tinubu's Achievements with Misinformation

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has issued a strong condemnation of individuals and groups it claims are actively working to undermine the achievements of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. In a statement released on Saturday from Sokoto, the party's Senior Special Assistant on Media to the National Chairman, Malam Yusuf Abubakar Dingyadi, alleged that critics, particularly from opposition parties, are leveraging social media platforms to disseminate misleading reports about the President's performance.

Allegations of Selfish Motives and Misinformation

Dingyadi asserted that these actions are not driven by patriotism, national unity, or a commitment to nation-building, but rather by selfish interests. He specifically condemned what he termed the use of misinformation, unfounded allegations, and political propaganda aimed at discrediting the administration, with a notable focus on northern Nigeria. According to him, such tactics are irresponsible and do not align with the behavior expected from patriotic citizens, especially when considering the state of the country before this administration took office.

"The use of vulgar language, excessive criticism, and the spread of false information is not expected from responsible and patriotic citizens, particularly when considering the state of the country prior to this administration," Dingyadi emphasized.

Call for Recognition of Government Efforts

Instead of engaging in what he described as harmful criticism, Dingyadi urged Nigerians to acknowledge the improvements made under the Tinubu administration. He highlighted several areas where progress has been achieved, including:

  • Enhancements in security measures across the nation.
  • Ongoing development projects that are transforming infrastructure.
  • Comprehensive reforms implemented in key sectors such as agriculture, education, and healthcare.

He stressed that these efforts are part of a broader commitment to improving the living conditions of all Nigerians.

APC's Commitment to National Development

Dingyadi further noted that the APC's National Working Committee, under the leadership of Nentawe Yilwatda, remains steadfast in its dedication to driving economic transformation. The party is focused on several critical areas to ensure sustainable growth and development:

  1. Economic Transformation: Implementing policies to boost the economy and create opportunities.
  2. Security Enhancement: Strengthening measures to protect citizens and maintain peace.
  3. Agricultural Development: Supporting farmers and improving food security.
  4. Education and Healthcare Reforms: Investing in human capital through better educational and health services.
  5. Infrastructure and Social Welfare: Building essential facilities and programs to uplift communities.

He added that the APC-led government will continue these initiatives to foster a better quality of life for Nigerians.

Urging Public Vigilance

In his concluding remarks, Dingyadi called on the public to be wary of what he described as misleading narratives propagated by opposition elements. He warned that these groups are seeking support by discrediting government efforts, and he encouraged citizens to rely on verified information and recognize the tangible progress being made under the current administration.
