Governor Alex Otti Secures Labour Party Ticket for Abia

In a related development, Governor Alex Otti of Abia State has secured the Labour Party's governorship ticket for the 2027 elections. The governor announced this in a statement on Sunday, May 31, which has sparked reactions from Nigerians.

Several supporters expressed their views on social media. Ikogwe Onyeka Kelvin congratulated the governor, stating that Abia electorates would have collectively written to INEC to save money for the 2027 governorship election, as Otti's victory is a foregone conclusion.
