Ogun Central APC Endorses Adeola for 2027 Governorship

Members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ogun Central Senatorial District have endorsed Senator Olamilekan Solomon Adeola, representing Ogun West, as the party's consensus governorship candidate for the 2027 election. They also endorsed Shuaib Afolabi Salisu as their senatorial candidate.

Governor Abiodun's Remarks

Speaking at the M.K.O. Abiola Stadium in Abeokuta, Governor Dapo Abiodun noted that Ogun Central's endorsement followed similar actions by Ogun East and Ogun West districts. He emphasized that Adeola's experience, including service in the State House of Assembly, House of Representatives, and Senate, made him the preferred choice.

The governor explained that the consensus arrangement ensures credible and widely accepted candidates who have contributed to the party's growth. He added that party executives are committed to peaceful primary elections.

He thanked Ogun Central for supporting his administration, which helped maintain one of the fastest-growing economies in the country. He also announced direct primary elections starting Friday, urging peaceful conduct.
