APC Suspends Rep Member Usman Ibrahim Over Anti-Party Acts

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Jigawa State has suspended Usman Ibrahim, a member of the House of Representatives representing the Auyo/Hadejia/Kafin-Hausa Federal Constituency, along with seven other party officials. The suspension was announced by the state APC chairperson, Ahmad Garba, in a statement released to journalists on Monday.

Allegations of Anti-Party Conduct

According to the statement, the party received formal complaints from loyal members alleging that Ibrahim and the other officials engaged in activities detrimental to the unity, peace, stability, and progress of the APC. The incidents reportedly occurred on 26 May 2026 in Auyo Town, Auyo Local Government Area of Jigawa State. The alleged actions include acts capable of bringing the party into disrepute, undermining its authority, promoting division among members, and engaging in conduct prejudicial to the interests of the All Progressives Congress.

Violations of Party Constitution

The State Executive Committee noted that the alleged acts, if proven, constitute violations of Article 21.2(ii), (vi), (vii), and (viii) of the APC Constitution. These provisions prohibit disloyalty, anti-party activities, conduct likely to embarrass or bring the party into disrepute, and acts capable of causing discord and disaffection among party members.
