CDCFIB Warns Applicants: Fake 2025 Recruitment Notice in Circulation
CDCFIB Warns Against Fake 2025 Recruitment Notice

The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has issued a critical warning to all applicants for its 2025 recruitment exercise. The board is alerting the public to a fraudulent document that is currently being shared online.

Official Channels Are The Only Source Of Truth

In a statement released from the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, the CDCFIB categorically stated that a memo inviting shortlisted candidates for physical screening and document verification is completely fake. The board confirmed that this document did not come from them and is a fabrication by unscrupulous elements.

The board emphasised that all authentic information regarding the recruitment process will be communicated exclusively through its official recruitment portal and other verified communication platforms. They explicitly warned that they do not send recruitment updates via unofficial emails, random social media posts, or third-party websites.

No Screening Dates Have Been Approved

A key point of clarification from the CDCFIB is that no dates have been set or approved for the physical screening or document verification stage of the 2025 recruitment. Any message, post, or document claiming that applicants have been shortlisted or that specific screening dates are fixed is false and should be disregarded.

"The attention of the Board has been drawn to a forged notice currently in circulation. Members of the public and all applicants are advised to treat the document as fake," the board's statement read.

Applicants Must Exercise Vigilance

The CDCFIB has urged all prospective applicants to be extremely cautious during this period. Recruitment exercises are often targeted by fraudsters looking to scam eager job seekers. Applicants are advised to rely solely on announcements published directly on the board’s official portal and to ignore any contrary information from unverified sources.

The board reaffirmed its commitment to a transparent recruitment process. It assured all applicants that accurate and timely information will be released to the public as soon as the recruitment process moves forward officially.

This warning serves as a crucial reminder for hundreds of thousands of Nigerians seeking careers in the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire, and Immigration services to double-check the source of any information they receive regarding the 2025 recruitment.
