Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, has sent warm New Year greetings to the people of the state as they welcome the year 2026.

In a statement released by his Chief Press Secretary, Festus Ahon, on Wednesday, January 1, 2026, the governor expressed deep gratitude to God for His protection and grace throughout the previous year. He described the New Year as a time for fresh beginnings and collective responsibility.

Governor Oborevwori urged all Deltans to move forward with optimism and unity, drawing strength from past experiences. He specifically acknowledged the resilience, patience, and peaceful nature of the citizens, which he credited for the state's modest gains across various sectors.

Deepening the MORE Agenda in 2026
